Branding & identity
A name, a mark, a system — built to last.
Gorizmy is a branding agency based in Algeria, in Boumerdès, working with clients across Algeria, France, Belgium, Germany, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the United States. We build identities as complete systems — brand strategy, naming, bilingual Arabic/Latin logotypes and full identity guidelines — and our own identity, خوارزمي / GORIZMY, is our first case study: one name drawn in two scripts, one system that holds on a phone screen and on a storefront.
The name itself carries the thesis. Gorizmy comes from Algorizmi, the Latin rendering of al-Khwarizmi, the mathematician whose name became the word algorithm. From ink to algorithm: that is the distance a modern brand has to travel, wherever it operates, and the distance we design for. It is also why the same studio works equally well for a company rooted in Boumerdès and for a team expanding from Paris, Brussels or New York into the Gulf.
What a complete identity includes
Every identity project starts with strategy: positioning, audiences, tone of voice, and the promise your brand makes. We write this foundation down and agree on it before any visual exploration, because a beautiful logo without direction is decoration.
Then comes naming, if you need it — checked for sound and meaning across all three languages and both scripts — followed by the bilingual Arabic/Latin logotype, drawn so both versions carry equal visual weight rather than one primary mark trailed by a reluctant translation.
Everything is documented in full identity guidelines: logo construction and clear space, colour palettes, Latin and Arabic typography, right-to-left composition rules, and worked application examples. You leave with clean, organised production files — colour and monochrome versions, vector and web-ready formats — that any printer or developer can use without a walkthrough, wherever they are based.
Our process, step by step
We start with a scoping conversation: your business, your competitors, your ambitions, what your brand needs to say and to whom. The phase ends with a written brief we approve together before any design work begins.
The research phase then produces genuinely distinct creative directions, not cosmetic variants of a single idea. Each direction is presented in context — on a website, a document, a package, a storefront — so decisions are made against real situations rather than a logo floating on a white slide.
Once a direction is chosen, we iterate in short cycles to the final mark, then write the guidelines and prepare the deliverables. We stay available after handover to support the first applications of your identity, in person or remotely.
A bilingual Arabic/Latin branding agency, built for markets everywhere
A bilingual brand lives in two scripts at once. Our clients in Algeria read French and Arabic, sometimes in the same sentence; their official documents, storefronts and social accounts mix both reading directions. Many identities treat Arabic as a late addition, and readers notice.
The same challenge follows any company crossing into the Gulf, whether it starts in Algeria, France, Belgium, Germany or the United States. A logo designed only in Latin script and translated into Arabic at the last minute rarely holds up. As a bilingual Arabic/Latin branding agency, we design for this from day one: Arabic typography crafted with the same care as the Latin, marks that stand alone in each script or side by side, systems that stay coherent in both reading directions. That applies to a storefront sign in Boumerdès as much as a trade-show booth in Dubai.
Why Gorizmy: identities tested where they will live
We are engineers as well as designers. Every mark we draw is tested on the surfaces where it will actually live — interfaces, websites, documents, print. The product discipline we apply to Sinan, our offline-first dental practice software deployed to clinics and independent practitioners across Algeria, is the same discipline we apply to design work.
That is also what makes the next step natural. The same team can extend your identity into a fast, well-structured site through Websites & SEO, or into a consistent daily presence through Graphic design & social media — working from Boumerdès for a local business or remotely for a client based in Paris, Brussels or Dubai.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a brand identity cost?
It depends on scope: a logotype alone versus a full identity with naming and guidelines, the number of languages and scripts involved, and how many applications need to be covered. We do not publish flat rates because no two brands need the same work. After a short scoping conversation, we send a free, no-obligation quote, itemised line by line.
How long does a full identity take?
Timelines vary with scope, typically running to several weeks. A logotype refresh moves faster than a complete identity with naming, bilingual research and detailed guidelines. We agree on an indicative schedule as soon as the brief is approved, with regular review points along the way, and the estimated timeline is stated in the quote.
What do you need from us to get started?
Mostly your time. We start with a scoping conversation about your business, customers, competitors and ambitions, then gather whatever already exists: an old logo, documents, photography, company history. You do not need a formal brief — we write it together. Whether your company is based in Algeria or elsewhere, we work remotely with clients outside Algeria as a matter of course, by video call and shared files.
Can you design a mark that works in both Arabic and Latin scripts?
Yes — that is the core of our practice. We design bilingual logotypes where the Arabic and Latin versions carry equal visual weight, and our guidelines cover right-to-left composition alongside left-to-right. Our own identity, خوارزمي / GORIZMY, and our fully trilingual RTL website are the working proof.
We already have a logo. Can you evolve it instead of starting over?
Yes. We begin with an audit of what you have: what still works, what has aged, and what is missing — often a properly drawn Arabic version or usable guidelines. Depending on the diagnosis, we recommend either a measured evolution or a deeper rebuild, protecting the recognition your brand has already earned.
